Review

Weather Radar Toolkit is an innovative program based on Microsoft's .Net framework, which comes with easily usable functionalities and intuitive interface for weather buffs, stargazers and other interested users. The application includes many attractive features like all the local NEXRAD Radars such as Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, United States National Radar and Seven Overlays.

The program comes with Nine Regional Radars, in eight different radar types, providing up to 3x Radar Zoom as well as Radar Looping. Moreover, the application also has many interesting impressive functionalities, like Automatic Refresh, support for Satellite Images, and provision to avail the Weather Picture of the Day as well. What’s more, it has a Graphical Weather Forecast, Astronomical Calendar and a Moon Phase along with many other unique features.

The application requires .Net framework to be pre-installed on the system on which it needs to be installed, otherwise the user may encounter the .Net Framework Error. Furthermore, the first time the program is run, it compiles itself to the specifications of the machine, ensuring that it works flawlessly on most number of possible computer types, and once compiled or tailored for particular user’s machine it will launch normally and faster thereafter.
Advantages
  • Comes with all local NEXRAD Radars
Disadvantages
  • Requires .Net framework pre-installed
